Absolutely! You will not pay a penny, dime or Euro for any of the services in Top Dog City

Do I have to register?
No - you are free to wander the City and Add A Brick whenever you choose, now isn't that refreshing!

If I don't need to register why do you want my e-mail on the brick application form?
Because registration is not required, your e-mail is all we have to identify and track your brick applications. Remember, we have a limit to the amount of bricks that can be added to the same building, and without a form of identification we would be unable to monitor this.  We have no intention of using your e-mail for SPAM or any other form of abuse and respect your privacy 100%.  If you have any concerns about this, please read our Privacy Policy.

Can I add a brick to more than one building?
Yes. You can add bricks to all the buildings if you wish at a rate of 1 per month.

Can I add more than one brick to the same building?
Yes. You can add 1 brick per month to the same building, or as many buildings as you wish.

What do you mean by adding 1 brick per month?
The league runs from June - March (10 months) and you can add 1 brick to as many buildings as you wish per month.(In theory, if there were 100 buildings you could add a total of 100 bricks every month - 1 per building!).
For example, lets say I'm an Elvis fan, I can add a brick to his building at a rate of 1 per month and it doesn't matter what date I add them so long as it falls within the current month.  I could add 1 on June 30th then another on July 1st but I couldn't add my 3rd until August and so on.  I could also add bricks in June to any other buildings I choose so long as it's 1 per building every month.
Of course if I have 2 e-mail accounts I can up my limit to 2 bricks per month and so on :-)

Can I use my name more than once on the same building?
Yes you can repeat your name if you wish or use different names every time, it's up to you.

Abuse
If you spot a brick containing abuse please report it right away giving as much detail as possible to help us locate it quickly. (What building is it on? What does the brick say? Why do you feel this is abusive or offensive? Every building has a "Report Abuse" link at the top.

The Celebrity/Team/Musician I support doesn't have a building yet what should I do?

I know for a fact that there are 10 or more nominations but our building hasn't appeared yet?
Don't panic, It's in the queue.  We add new buildings at some point after 6pm (GMT) - daily where possible.  This is so we can capture all the nominations received for that day (and previous days) until we find 10 VALID nominations.  Please be patient, it will appear soon!

I completed a brick application but didn't receive my verification e-mail?
You should receive a verification e-mail immediately.  If you have not received it, please read through the below known causes and try and match which reason best suits you and take the appropriate action.
1. You may inadvertently made an error when typing your e-mail address (this is VERY easy to do!).  If you think you may have done this, simply re-apply.
2. Your Inbox may be over its limit.  Clear out old e-mails.
3. Occasionally we may experience a system crash or other technical difficulty during times of high traffic for example. As crashes last a very short while, they often go undetected.  Allow half an hour then re-apply.   If you still do not receive an e-mail, then it's unlikely a system crash is causing you a problem.
4. You may have left the e-mail section blank - yep, it happens hundreds of times!!!!  Simply try again but be careful to complete the form.

I have received my verification e-mail but it won't let me click the validation link?
You may have your e-mail set to receive 'plain text' only, this means the link will not be active or 'clickable'.  In this instance, all you have to do is Cut & Paste the entire link into your browser address bar and that will do the trick!

I have activated the validation link and typed in my e-mail to verify as requested.  It has taken me to an 'OOOooops!' message?
You must type in the e-mail you used on your original application EXACTLY.   Any errors will result in taking you to the 'OOOooops' message.  Make sure you have no typing errors or extra spaces.  If you still have problems, please forward your verification e-mail to webmaster@topdogcity.com and make sure you tell us that you keep getting an 'Oooops' message.  we will activate your brick for you.

I validated my brick but it has not appeared on the building?
Bricks should appear within 5 minutes of validation.  You MUST refresh your screen to see your brick appear.  Some buildings have more than one 'block' of bricks, so please make sure you have checked all blocks before contacting us.   Numbers for each block appear at the top of the building, just click them to load up each block in turn. 
Check the announcements to see if there are any known technical problems preventing your brick from appearing.   If there are no announcements, and you have definitely refreshed your screen, and you have definitely waited longer than 5 minutes, and you have definitely checked out all the blocks available, then forward your validation e-mail to webmaster@topdogcity.com and state quite clearly that you can not locate your brick so we know how to help you.

How does the league work?
The League runs annually from  01 June - 31 March. 
There are 4 Leagues:- Sports League, Music League, Celebrity, Film & TV League and the World Super League which is all 3 other Leagues combined.  Each brick earns 1 point on the League Table. 
The winners of each League will be awarded the title "World's Greatest Fans" Good Luck!

Are there any awards for the winners?
We present Rosettes on behalf of the fans to the winning 'celebrities' at the close of the league for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.  We invite them to comment and leave messages for the fans.  If they choose to do so we will announce this on the home page.

Are there any prizes?
Because Top Dog City is free, we don't have money to obtain prizes :-( instead we rely on the goodwill of our 'famous visitors' to donate prizes to give away to their fans. Details will always be displayed on the home page.
